Fun in the Robins Room
There is a relaxed ease in a class where there are so few kids. Not that it would be beneficial for every situation and every day because there would be so much of the social give and take that would be missing in the children's development, but occasionally a small group (6 children today) of collaboration is a welcome change. The provocations were simple, some which allowed for group work, some which offered a place for solo exploration and some that were a challenge for who ever decided to seek it out. Today, we have decided to let the photos tell the story of our day!
The art table was an excellent avenue for conversation and collaboration and all the kids took part in the opportunity to connect with their classmates.
Paulina and Celia set to work diligently to master connecting the paper clips, asking for assistance to reposition the openings each time; all the while celebrating each others success. Finally after a HUGE chain of clips their diligence paid off. "we did it!' they shouted after completion.
